Introduction

13th International Performers' Competition in DOUBLE BASS took place in Brno under the auspices of Roman Onderka the Mayor of the Statutory City of Brno between 14th and 19th September 2008. The competition has been presented as an integral part of the Brno International Music Festival with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Southern Moravia Region.

Concert of laureates

The concert of laureates took place in the Josef Dobrovský Concert Hall of the Convent of Merciful Brothers on 19th September 2008 at 7:30 p. m. The programme of the concert chose the jury from the best performances of all rounds.
